How Weight-Loss Drugs Impact Your Dating Life – TIME 

GLP-1 drugs affect dating and sex in mixed ways, improving confidence for some while causing hormonal side effects and/or reduced desire for others. Survey results from NCSH member, the Kinsey Institute, are featured.

Many singles consider sexting and/or forming emotional or sexual bonds with AI companions as infidelity, highlighting how technology is redefining cheating and trust in modern relationships. Survey results and Amanda Gesselman, from the Kinsey Institute, an NCSH member, are featured.

Sex and desire don’t disappear with age. Experts emphasize shifting expectations, improving communication, managing health factors, and reducing stress to maintain fulfilling intimacy later in life. NCSH member, Shannon Chavez, is featured. 

How to Approach Sex With Realistic Expectations – CNN Health 

Experts encourage couples to shift from chasing “perfect” sex to embracing “good-enough sex,” which emphasizes realistic expectations, communication, and pleasure over performance. Justin Lehmiller of NCSH member, the Kinsey Institute, is quoted.

HIV: Monthly PrEP Drug Candidate Shows Promise – Newsweek  

A new once-monthly oral PrEP drug, MK-8527, has shown strong antiviral potential and is entering large clinical trials, offering a more convenient alternative to daily pills or injectable options. 

New Speculum, Who’s This? – Slate  

The speculum is largely unchanged since it was originally developed despite its discomfort for many women. Recent innovations like the Nella and self-swab HPV tests may offer more comfortable, patient-friendly alternatives for cervical cancer screening.
